In Saint Thomas we donated to the Virgin Islands Children’s Musem

As part of our community outreach and sustainability program at Argos, we donated $4,000 to The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum to aid with the administration of the organization.

The VICM is an educational interactive play space that weaves S.T.R.E.A.M. based concepts throughout their exhibits and external programs. The program operates outside of the traditional school educational system and aims to create an environment that fosters explorative learning and a life-long passion for seeking knowledge. They rely solely on the generosity of community members like Argos to survive.

“During my visit I was able to interact with a few of the exhibits. The exhibit that stood out the most for me was the Mango Farm. This piece brings together science, technology and art as well as one of our favorite things to eat in the VI, mangoes! Visitors can plant, pick, sell and purchase mangoes when they visit. There’s even a working calculator on the cash register to help them become more familiar with math!”, Deon McCurdy, Operations Manager in Saint Thomas added about his experience in the VICM.
